How to Grow Blonde Morel Mushrooms
We can provide you with Blonde Morel mushroom mycelium: 1 tube of 50 ml = 5 liters of Blonde Morel mycelium for a yearly harvest. Instructions are included.
The ideal soil pH for Blonde Morels is 6.3 for a spring harvest. Our mycelium is ready to use for inoculating your soil. Dig a 20 cm hole in your garden, next to an ash, hazelnut, elm, hornbeam, apple tree, wormwood, artichoke, or asparagus. The soil should remain moist and shaded. After a few weeks, the mycelium will have colonized your garden. Mushrooms thrive in warmth and humidity, but direct sunlight should be avoided. Under ideal conditions, the mycelium can live for several years and expand.
Blonde Morels are easy to cultivate in favorable, preferably calcareous soil. Sow in a moist and shaded area after rainfall, ideally when the days start to become sunny and the nights are still cold. They thrive in freshly tilled soil, under wood chips, straw or hay piles, apple pomace, and wood ash after a fire. Apple juice stimulates the awakening of the mycelium before sowing them outdoors. You can also add lime or gypsum (plaster), ash, or a small amount of sugar to facilitate the nutrition of the mycelium.
The favorable period for cultivating Blonde Morels is year-round. Harvest from March to June.
